The Swiss National Startup Team has 10 new members: 10 Venture Leaders Deeptech were selected for their international roadshow. As part of the Venture Leaders program, the team will showcase Switzerland’s deeptech expertise and lay the foundation for global growth.
LEDCity, a Zurich, Switzerland-based producer of autonomous lighting systems, announced completing a CHF 2M ($2.1M) capital funding round. The money was raised from local investors from Switzerland, including angel investors via SICTIC.
The recently developed lamps from the CleanTech start-up LEDcity are able to communicate with each other. They detect when and where artificial lighting is required. In the future, they will also be able to autonomously order replacements and support security staff.
Due to global warming, climate protection through energy-efficient measures is more important than ever before. The dissemination of such technologies is supported by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy and the Swiss Climate Foundation, among others.
