Our “Semi-Autonomous” LED tubes change the lighting intensity and duration automatically. The savings potential is significantly increased by high lighting efficiency and a shorter operating time. Thanks to an integrated radar and light sensor, the control system takes decisions away from people and adjusts the light to the actual requirement over a small area. This reduces energy consumption by around 60 per cent compared to a conventional system with motion detectors. In addition, the run-on time and basic lighting can be easily set on the product to optimise energy savings and offer the greatest possible convenience for every application.
In the hotel "The Chedi" in Switzerland, over 1000 sensor-controlled LEDCity tubes save 78% energy compared to the previous lighting with motion detectors through automatic regulation of light intensity and duration in corridors, parking, and ancillary rooms.
The ZHdK building on the Toni site in Zurich has a large number of fluorescent tubes for lighting: previously exclusively conventional FL tubes, now also a considerable number of intelligent, sensor-controlled LEDCity tubes. This conversion currently saves up to 92% energy.
The hotel aimed to reduce energy consumption and, in collaboration with LEDCity, replaced a significant portion of the linear lighting. This resulted in an annual saving equivalent to the energy consumption of over 700 average households.
