Energy-saving lighting amortises after 2.34 years
The Centre Simplon, a shopping centre with residential facilities in Vevey, has switched to the sensor-controlled lighting system from LEDCity. Semi-autonomous tubes and circular luminaires have been installed in the parking, cellars, stairwells and other areas, saving almost 20,000 Swiss francs a year. These savings have been achieved by significantly reducing the burning time and switching from fluorescent to LED lighting. Despite these high savings, visitors and residents benefit from a sense of security, as the basic lighting of the lamps has been set to 20% and they therefore never switch off completely. As soon as someone is close-by a semi-autonomous light source, it dims up to 100 % and thus ensures ideal lighting conditions.
